All three are healthy. Two never stray very far from their mother. One ventures out alone, but often runs back to Mama when approached. And all three are rare - a one in 106,000 shot.
Johnnie Perkins still marvels at the triplet calves birthed on his Knifley farm on Nov. 21.
"She had one and everything went good. She got up and licked it and laid back down. I watched her a bit and then she had another one. After about two or three minutes, she laid back down."
That concerned Perkins, so he called Crossroads Animal Clinic.
