A group of three Campbellsville doctors will be authors of the newest blog on the Central Kentucky News-Journal website www.cknj.com.
Drs. Steve Baum, Michael Hesson and Muhammad Atif Khan are all with UofL Pediatrics-Campbellsville. They will take turns posting timely blogs about children's health issues they believe parents will find informative.
Baum joined UofL in July 2003, practicing at University Child Health Specialists-South, a UofL general pediatrics practice in south Louisville. He also worked as a hospitalist, covered the newborn nursery at University of Louisville Hospital and worked as an attending physician at Kids Express East, Norton Suburban Hospital Emergency Room.
Baum graduated from the UofL School of Medicine in 2000 and completed his pediatrics residency training there in 2003.
Hesson completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Louisville in 2010. He graduated from the UofL School of Medicine in 2007.
A native of Flatwoods, Ky., Hesson had always planned to join a practice in a small town because of the opportunity to get to know his patients and their families.
Khan is a general pediatrician with special interest in asthma, obesity and sports medicine.
He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Karachi, Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. Khan completed a residency in pediatrics at West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2010.
UofL Pediatrics-Campbellsville is located at 73 Kingswood Drive. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
Doctors offer a full range of primary care services, including well-child check-ups, acute and chronic care, testing and health education. The doctors also provide inpatient and newborn care at Taylor Regional Hospital and take call in the emergency room.
