Isaac Thompson of Campbellsville has entered a Hereford in the beef division of the 38th annual North American International Livestock Exposition. The world’s largest purebred livestock show, the event takes place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville on Nov. 5-18.
Purebred farms from nearly every state and Canada bring livestock to compete in one of 10 expo divisions: dairy cattle, dairy goats, meat goats, beef cattle, quarter horses, draft horses, mules and donkeys, sheep, swine and llamas and alpacas. The event features more than 23,000 entries and offers nearly $700,000 in prizes and awards. More than 200,000 American and foreign visitors attend the event.
