Taylor County led 14-7 with just over three minutes left in the first half.
But, the Cardinals were stopped on fourth down at the Taylor County 30-yard line and home-standing Marion County tallied 35 more consecutive points en route to a 42-14 district victory on Friday night in Lebanon.
“I shouldn’t have gone for it,” admitted TCHS Head Coach Eric Graves. “The kids said ‘coach we can get it’ and I’m trying to build some confidence in this team.”
