Taylor County High School pushed across two unearned runs in the top of the seventh to defeat the homestanding Campbellsville baseball Eagles on Wednesday night.
The Eagles had fought back from deficits of 4-0 and 5-2 to lead 6-5.
The Cardinals led 1-0 on Joel Hardesty's first-inning, RBI double and 2-0 on Tyler Yates' bunt single in the second.
TCHS' lead grew to 4-0 on A.J. Wayne's single and Jacob Wise's triple in the third.
CHS responded with a pair of runs in the fourth and tied the game at 5-5 in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Chris Holmes and a two-run Cardinal error.
The Eagles went up 6-5 in the sixth when Jeffrey Eastridge doubled and Ben Janes singled.
However, the visitors used James Clements' double, a hit batsman and an Eagle error to knot the score at 6-6 before Blake Dudgeon's infield single proved to be the game-winner.
TC improved to 4-0 in district play with a 5-4 Thursday win vs. Adair County.
