TCHS Chorus presents annual Christmas concert

Taylor County High School's Choral Music Department presented its annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 16 at Campbellsville University's Ransdell Chapel.

The combined chorus included the women's choir, men's choir, concert choir and chamber choir.

Lisa Gupton is the TCHS choral director. Others assisting during the event were Brandon Centers, assistant choral director; Brittany Benningfield, student teacher; and Edwina Rowell, accompanist.

Choral selections included "Sing We All Noel," "Angel's Lullaby," "Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" featuring soloist Allie Hash, "Carol of the Bells," "Let the Tiny Baby Come In," "Please Come Home for Christmas," "Caroling, Caroling," "Once Upon A December" and "Celtic Christmas Celebration."

The program ended with the upbeat "Betelehemu," a Nigerian carol featuring instrumentalists Sidney Coffey, Joey Moyers and Eli Cox and soloists Zach Cox and Hanna Williams, followed by "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" featuring the TCHS Chamber Choir.
