Molly Sullivan, a fifth-grade student at Taylor County Elementary School, has been selected as a legislative page through the Family Resource and Youth Services Coalition of Kentucky's Legislative Page Program competition, according to Ann Mattingly, family resource center director at Taylor County Elementary School.

Sullivan will attend the legislative session in Frankfort on Feb. 16 and will be assigned a state representative to assist for the day.

Sullivan, the daughter of Chad and Carol Sullivan, earned the opportunity by competing first in a District-wide poster and essay contest, and then again at the state level.

Her essay focused on why she wanted to be a legislative page, and her poster topic was "How the FRC helps students and their families at your school."

More information about the FRC can be found on the Taylor County School District's website at taylor.kyschools.us.
