Taylor County now has another tool in its marketing belt.
Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear recently announced that Taylor County is one of three in the state to recently be named a Kentucky Work Ready Community in Progress.
The county's top economic development official says the title means the county has a quality workforce and can now use that title to promote itself.
According to a news release from Beshear's office, Taylor County received the distinction because it met five of six criteria required to be named a Kentucky Work Ready Community.
