Taylor County Schools is a winner of a $40 million grant to be shared with 15 other school districts.
Superintendent Roger Cook announced that news at last Monday's regular Board of Education meeting.
The grant, which is funded by the Department of Education Recovery Act as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, totals $40 million to be shared by the 16 winners across the nation.
