In a special meeting at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, the Taylor County School Board voted to raise the district's dropout age from 16 to 18.
After a recommendation from Taylor County Superintendent Roger Cook, Board member Lillian Clark made a motion to accept the policy. It was seconded by Board member Jim Cheatham and passed unanimously. There was no discussion.
