Many girls have signed up to be girl scouts through the local school systems, and organizers are now in the process of forming troops.
There will be a troop organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Campbellsville Christian Church.
Those interested but not yet signed up are welcome to attend.
There are many benefits of the Girl Scout Program. Girls make new friends, help their communities and learn valuable skills they can use to become successful adults, skills like self-confidence, leadership, family values, goal setting, money management and career exploration.
Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is looking for dedicated adults to support the Girl Scout Program. You don't have to be a mother of a young girl to be a volunteer, or even female. You can be an aunt, uncle, cousin, grandparent or friend - as long as you want to use your time and talents to help girls in your community. Volunteering is fun, exciting and rewarding.
Whether you want to help for one day or help all year, every person makes a difference.
Those interested in volunteering are welcome to attend the meeting or call (888) 771-5173.
