Forty-seven first-year FFA members received their Greenhand degrees on Sept. 25.
The Greenhand degree is awarded to all FFA members in their first year who have met minimum qualifications. Such qualifications include reciting the FFA creed in its entirety; having basic knowledge of FFA history; and having a satisfactory Supervised Agricultural Experience Program.
The guest speaker for the night was Josh Kerr, Lake Cumberland Region state vice president. He spoke on the future within the FFA.
