On Oct. 24-27, the National FFA Convention offered vast opportunities to its many members. The Taylor County FFA chapter attended the convention, which took place in Indianapolis, Ind.
Members attended workshops, sessions, Career Success Tours and exhibitions to improve their leadership skills and enthusiasm for FFA. A rodeo and concert was also hosted for members' entertainment.
Local member Hannah Ellis was chosen for national talent, which is a group of talented FFA members from across the country that provides entertainment at sessions and other national functions. She was also chosen to perform the national anthem at the third national session in front of more than 10,000. She had other public performances as well.
Attending members were: Dakota Gilbert, Cody Smith, Kassy Hugar, Samantha Clark, Chris Sapp, Natalie Milby, Kellie Cox, Kayla Cash, Hannah Ellis, Dylan Barber, Robbie Jefferies, Casey Marlow, Austin Hardin, James Malone and Katie Ferguson.
Advisors William Wallace Evans and Ryan Williams chaperoned, along with Brittany Wilkinson and Cassandra Ellis.
