Taylor County Conservation District offering scholarships

Taylor County Conservation District is offering several scholarships.

Two $500 scholarships are available for high school seniors majoring in agriculture or natural resources. Applicants must compose a 200- to 300-word essay describing "Why Conservation is Important to Me."

Two letters of recommendation, a recent transcript and the essay are required to enter.

The district is also offering three $1,000 annual scholarships, offered through the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts auxiliary.
