Summer theater series beginning soon

Three plays will be presented.

Campbellsville University Theater and Town Hall Productions recently announced its summer series. Featured shows will include Hamlet in the Park, Hansel and Gretel and Fiddler on the Roof.

Auditions for the Fiddler on the Roof performance are April 24, 25 and 26 at Russ Mobley Theater on the CU campus.

Auditions are open to anyone in the community and will be from 5 to 8 p.m. April 24 and April 25. Callbacks are April 26.

The play will be performed Thursday, July 3, at 7 p.m., Friday, July 4, at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 5, at 2:30 and 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 6, at 2:30 p.m.

Hamlet in the Park will be performed at Clay Hill Memorial Forest on May 1, 3 and 7-10 at 8 p.m.

General Admission is $10. Seniors age 65 and older will cost $7 and CU employees, students and children age 12 and younger will cost $5.

Those attending should bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Hansel & Gretel will be presented as part of this summer's kid's summer camp at Russ Mobley Theater.

The camp will be the week of June 2-6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with auditions on Monday, and the play will be performed Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 7, at 2:30 p.m.

The camp is for first-graders through high school seniors. Cost is $150 each and $100 for additional siblings.

Missoula Children's Theater will send two professional directors along with sets, lights, costumes and their expertise.
