St. Thomas Episcopal Church, located at 116 S. Columbia Ave., will host a discussion of the "Lost Books of the Bible" beginning Wednesday, Sept. 10, and continuing on alternate Wednesdays thereafter for five sessions.
The Rev. Karl Lusk, pastor, will lead the discussion of the books that were in use by the early Christian church but were not included in the Canon of Scripture we know as the Bible today.
The study will examine how the Canon of Scripture was set, early church leaders who participated in shaping the Bible, and historical and cultural events which contributed to the exclusion and inclusion of sacred books.
The series will begin at 7 p.m., with a light supper served prior to the discussion at 6 p.m. The public is invited. For more information, call 789-1601.
