Somerset ended Taylor County High School's football season Friday night 58-7 in the first round of the play-offs.
The Briar Jumpers (8-3), who defeated the Cardinals 55-22 in regular-season play, took advantage of good field position resulting from strong special teams' play and Cardinal turnovers.
The Cardinals were guilty of six turnovers and never recovered from a 21-point Briar Jumper first quarter.
