Taylor Countians could see up to an inch of snow before 11 a.m. today.

Taylor County Emergency Management Public Information Coordinator Ronnie Dooley stated in a news release this morning that a winter weather advisory is in effect until 11 a.m.

Snow will continue through the mid-morning hours, the release states, and up to an inch of accumulation is possible. Snow will fall during the morning commute, which Dooley stated could cause issues on roadways.

Roads will quickly become snow covered, the release states, and this will result in slick spots and less than a mile of visibility for drivers.

Roads should be in good condition by the afternoon, Dooley states, with the exception of occassional slick spots.
