Slideshows bring you more

-A A +A

If you haven't seen the slideshow of photographs from the July Fourth Celebration in Campbellsville, then stop reading here. Go to www.cknj.com and do so now.

I'll wait.

I lost count sometime after loading 100 photos into the slideshow. There are pictures of those who participated and those who attended events during the weekend.

We all know the shape our economy has been in lately. And that means advertisers have reduced their spending, which in turn reduces the amount of space we are allotted in the newspaper.

In sum, that means we don't have room to publish all the photos we take.

However, with our Web site, we have the opportunity to provide more for our readers. And that's just what slideshows do.

In the newspaper, we publish a select few of the photos that we hope provide at least a good cross-section of what takes place during a special event. Then we offer more photos on our Web site.

In case you've never scrolled down far enough on the CKNJ home page to see the slideshows we've provided, you've missed several.

Those just recently have included both high school proms, graduations, project graduations, Relay for Life, the Taylor County Fair and the fire at the old Fruit of the Loom building.

The slideshows are our attempt to provide our loyal readers with more, even in hard economic times.

We hope you enjoy.
