School dress codes announced

-A A +A

‘The dress code set in place is fair and set forth for the safety of our students and school.’

By Calen McKinney

Along with new notebooks, pencils and folders, students are shopping for some new clothes.

Local school systems have set dress codes for the upcoming school year, which will begin Aug. 6.

Dress codes for each of the local schools are printed as a sidebar to this story.

At Campbellsville Elementary School, principal Ricky Hunt says his school's dress code will be the same this year as last.

If a student is seen wearing clothing that takes the focus away from learning, he said, parents or guardians are contacted and the student is asked to change.
