Taylor County Assistant Superintendent Susan Kilby presented the district improvement plan to Taylor County School Board members at its regular meeting last Tuesday.
Kilby said the Kentucky Department of Education has implemented some major changes in how the improvement plan must be drafted, which made the process more complicated and time-consuming in years past.
"This had to be completed by Feb. 1 and in the system, and then in March, they had a meeting to tell us how to do it," Kilby said.
