Christy Michal Sapp of Edgewood and Charles Matthew Harpold of Cincinnati, Ohio, were married June 25, 2011, at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church in Cincinnati. The Rev. John Dritt performed the ceremony.
Sapp is the daughter of Michael and Shirley Sapp of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are the late Alfred and Bertha Forrest and Thomas W. Sr. and Edith Sapp.
Harpold is the son of Janet Harpold of Cincinnati and the late Frank Harpold. His grandparents are the late Charles and Martha Harpold and Michael and Ruth Cottey.
Sapp is an oncologist with Oncology Hematology CARE and Harpold is a financial advisor at Fidelity Investments in northern Kentucky.
The bride wore a designer gown by Ian Stuart of metallic taupe, scoop neck, ruching bodice, A-line chantilly lace with an empire waist accented with hand beading and a flowing train.
Dr. Simi Bhullar of Columbus, Ohio, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Mueller of Chicago, Ill., the groom's twin sister, Dr. Alison Bailey of Lexington, and Dr. Andrea Wilkerson Russell of Atlanta, Ga.
Kathryn Mueller, the groom's niece, was the flower girl.
David Pilgrim of Chicago was best man. Groomsmen were Jason Sapp of Campbellsville, the bride's brother, Chip Ellison of Cincinnati and George Burkhart of Bloomington, Ind. Andrew Pilgrim was the ring bearer.
Meredith Angel of Lexington, the bride's cousin, and Amanda Page of Cincinnati were guest registers and program distributers.
Albina Anneken sang "Ave Maria" by Franz Schubert during the lighting of the unity candle.
A reception was hosted following the ceremony at the Newport Aquarium in Newport. The rehearsal dinner was at the Clifton House Bed and Breakfast in Cincinnati.
The couple honeymooned in Sorrento, Italy, and make their home in Edgewood.
