The United States Department of Agriculture Service Center in Columbia will host a retirement reception for Jean Dennison Grammer on Thursday beginning at 2 p.m.
Grammer began working for the federal government at the Department of the Army Armor Center in Fort Knox in 1972. She transferred to the Elizabethtown USDA office in 1979, making her way to Campbellsville's office in 1987. When that office closed in 1998, she went to the Columbia office. She retired on March 31.
