Restaurant inspections for May 17

The following restaurants were inspected by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department using the scale below.

- 85 to 100, pass inspection.

- 70 to 84, restaurant must be reinspected within 30 days.

- Less than 70, a suspension of permit notice is sent to owner. If the owner doesn't reply within 10 days, the permit will be revoked and the restaurant will be closed.

- Green River Lake State Park Grocery in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Snappy Tomato Pizza of East Main Street in Campbellsville received a health code score of 98, citing one violation. A can opener was soiled.

- Montgomery Snow of Lakeway Shopping Center in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Huddle House of Campbellsville Bypass in Campbellsville received a health code score of 91, citing nine violations. Thermometers weren't found in each cooler drawer, a reach-in cooler's bottom was soiled, tongs stored on electric cord were heavily soiled, cooler drawers were soiled, toppings area/griddle was soiled, reach-in cooler doors were soiled, scoop handles were found in product, no soap and towels were at a hand sink, food and cups were in hand sink and eggs were stored over cheese in a reach-in refrigerator.

- Burger King of Campbellsville Bypass in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Walmart #665 of Campbellsville Bypass in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Kroger #403 of East Broadway in Campbellsville received retail and health code scores of 100, citing no violations.

- Café Bonin of East Main Street in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Mi Mayarit of Nancy Cox Drive in Campbellsville received a health code score of 99, citing one violation. Thermometers were not readily accessible and/or missing.

- Shanghai Restaurant of East Broadway in Campbellsville received a health code score of 85, citing eight violations. Lights at food bar and food preparation area weren't shielded, end caps were missing, food was stored uncovered in reach-in cooler and walk-in freezer, product was stored on the floor in walk-in freezer, flour and sugar containers were heavily soiled, a reach-in vegetable cooler and grill lid were soiled, rust was found in ice chest, no air gap on ice machine drain, handles were soiled on walk-in cooler and freezer, product was stored in unapproved container (grocery bags), butter brush wasn't approved, walk-in freezer floors were soiled and a hood at a grill had heavy buildup. At a follow-up inspection, the restaurant received a score of 96 citing three violations. Lights at a food bar and food preparation area weren't shielded, a hood at a grill was heavily soiled and a butter brush was unapproved. All other violations were corrected.
