Restaurant inspections for March 29

The following restaurants were inspected by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department using the scale below.

- 85 to 100, pass inspection

- 70 to 84, restaurant must be reinspected within 30 days

- Less than 70, a suspension of permit notice is sent to owner; if owner doesn't reply within 10 days, the permit will be revoked and the restaurant will be closed.

- Burress' of Speck Ridge Road in Elk Horn received a food health code score of 97 and a retail health code score of 100, citing three violations. Thermometers weren't found in freezers, doors seals on a refrigerator weren't clean and lights weren't shielded in a food preparation area.

- Dollar General #7366 of East Broadway in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Benningfield's Country Market of Old Lebanon Road in Campbellsville received a food health code score of 97 and a retail health code score of 100, citing two violations. Eggs were stored over ready-to-eat foods and a deep freezer had ice buildup.

- J&M Motor Sports of Gumm Road in Columbia received a health code score of 99, citing one violation. Lights weren't shielded in a food preparation area.

- Pancho's of East Broadway in Campbellsville received a health code score of 90, citing five violations. Chicken set to thaw was not done with the proper method, a reach-in refrigerator/freezer wasn't clean, hot food, including ground beef, rice, beans and chicken, was not at the proper temperature and the floors and walls were soiled. At a follow-up inspection, all critical violations had been corrected and the restaurant received a health code score of 99, citing one violation. A reach-in freezer wasn't clean.
