Restaurant inspections

The following restaurants were inspected by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department using the scale below.

- 85 to 100, pass inspection.

- 70 to 84, restaurant must be re-inspected within 30 days.

- Under 70, a suspension of permit notice is sent to owner; if owner doesn't reply within 10 days, the permit will be revoked and the restaurant will be closed.

- Pancho's of East Broadway in Campbellsville received a health code score of 93, citing four violations. Uncovered foods were found in a refrigerator, onions were stored on the floor in a storage room, aluminum foil was used to line shelves, racks were not durable or cleanable, dishwater was not clean/discolored and not properly maintained and there were no sanitary towels provided for the handwashing sink.

- Taylor County Senior Citizens Center of North Jackson in Campbellsville received a health code score of 99, citing one violation. Utensils were not stored properly. Handles shall not touch the surface of other utensils.

- Burress Grocery of Speck Ridge Road in Elk Horn received a retail and health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Woods, the Country Store, of Smith Ridge Road in Campbellsville received a retail and health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- The Little Philly of South Central Avenue in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Price's Grocery and General Stores of Saloma Road in Campbellsville received a retail score of 100 and a health code score of 95, citing three violations. Uncooked hamburgers were stored above head lettuce in a milk and dairy cooler, uncooked beef/sausage was stored above an open container of butter and cranberry sauce in a kitchen reach-in cooler, a box of tomatoes and bagged potatoes was stored on the floor in a storage room, a non-food grade brush, a paint brush, was used in the kitchen and a box of cups were stored on the floor.

- Pit Stop of Lone Valley Road in Campbellsville received a retail score of 99 and a health code score of 98, citing two violations. In-use dispensing/cooking utensils were stored improperly in a kitchen area on towels and ceiling tiles in a storage room and retail area were water damaged.

- Windsor Gardens of Garden Way in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Ol' Mule of Hodgenville Road in Campbellsville received a retail score of 100 and health code score of 99, citing one violation. Cloth towels were used to line a counter for personal cups.

- Callison's Dairy Queen of West Main Street in Campbellsville received a health code score of 97, citing three violations. An ice scoop was not properly stored, the top of a flavor machine was not kept clean and purses and other items were not stored in suitable facilities.

- Wal-Mart Supercenter of Campbellsville Bypass in Campbellsville received retail and health code scores of 98, citing two violations. The floor in a food preparation area was not in good repair and a coat in the front baking section was not properly stored.

- The Magic Wok of Campbellsville Bypass in Campbellsville received a health code score of 86, citing eight violations. Frozen fish was found thawing at room temperature in a kitchen, potentially hazardous foods were found stored above or next to ready-to-eat foods in kitchen preparation coolers and a walk-in cooler, uncovered foods were found in Pepsi reach-in cooler in kitchen, there was no sign on buffet cart instructing patrons to obtain clean plate with each visit, no handles were found on bowls used as scoops in kitchen area, wiping cloths were found in kitchen not stored in sanitizing solution, water in chemical sanitizing dishwasher was not hotter than 120 degrees, the inside of a reach-in cooler opposite a grill was not clean, the floor area of the kitchen wasn't clean, the floor under shelving in the back of the kitchen wasn't clean and the fruit/dessert buffet bar foods were not maintained at a temperature of less than 45 degrees.

- Gribbins Grocery of Liberty Road in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Penn Store and Restaurant of Bradfordsville Road in Campbellsville received a retail score of 100 and health code score of 96, citing three violations. Ground beef was not properly thawed, aluminum foil used for shelf lining was not cleanable or durable and a purse was stored with food products.

- Kathy's Catering of East Main Street in Campbellsville received a health code score of 100, citing no violations.

- Carol's Food Mart of Greensburg Road in Campbellsville received retail and health code scores of 99, citing one violation. Plastic spoons were not stored properly and should be stored with handles extending outward.
