A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with selling drugs.

Mickey D. Watson, 33, of 1629 E. Broadway, Lot 13, was arrested Friday, July 19, at 1:07 p.m.

According to Watson's arrest citation, Campbellsville Police officers executed a search warrant at his home and found drugs inside.

Court records state that the warrant led officers to four suspected cocaine rocks that tested positive for the drugs.

Officers also found two digital scales, one of which tested positive to have cocaine on it.

Records state that officers seized a large amount of cash, three prescription bottles, one of which contained Methadone pills, and several other items.

During the search, Watson stated that he was told the day before that officers would be coming to search his home. He also allegedly told officers that he flushed other items before police arrived.

Watson told officers that he gets his drugs from Cincinnati.

Watson was charged with first-degree selling a controlled substance, first or subsequent offense, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug supplies.

Campbellsville Police Officer Andy Warren investigated.

Watson pleaded not guilty to the charges in Taylor District Court on Monday, July 22. Bond was set at 10 percent of $25,000 and he was ordered to not consume any drugs or alcohol and to report to pretrial services staff.

Watson was scheduled to appear in court again Wednesday.
