Resident charged with robbing Minit Mart

A Campbellsville woman has been arrested and charged with allegedly robbing a Minit Mart.

According to a Campbellsville Police Department news release, Amy Edwards, 31, was arrested Sunday at 12:56 p.m.

While on patrol, Officer Scotty Perian located a vehicle suspected to have been involved with the robbery of Minit Mart on Old Lebanon Road on Dec. 14.

The release states that Perian made contact with the vehicle and Edwards was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.

The robbery happened at 9:09 a.m., according to a news release, when a clerk said a white female about 5 feet 6 inches tall came in the store wearing a ski mask.

The woman said she had a gun, and after taking money from the cash register ran away.

Edwards was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.
