A Campbellsville man has been charged with growing marijuana after police came to his home looking for another man.
Joseph R. Roberts, 38, of 131 Debra Kay Ave., was charged Thursday, March 14, at 11:10 p.m.
According to Roberts' arrest citation, Kentucky State Police troopers went to the home on Debra Kay Avenue to serve an arrest warrant issued for another man.
Court records state that Roberts gave troopers permission to search his home for the wanted man. During the service, the trooper wrote in court records, he allegedly found four suspected marijuana plants growing in cups.
Roberts told troopers that the plants were marijuana, records state, and that they are his.
The charge of growing fewer than five marijuana plants is a misdemeanor offense.
Roberts is scheduled to appear in Taylor District Court for arraignment on Monday, April 1.
