Resident charged with forgery

A Campbellsville woman has been accused of unlawfully accessing someone's bank account and stealing more than $4,000.

Sarah Ann McKinley Baise, 29, of 306 Sharon Drive, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 22.

According to court records, Baise allegedly accessed someone's bank account illegally between May 18 and Dec. 16 and made electronic transactions totaling $4,430.24.

Baise was charged with 41 counts of second-degree forgery, which is a Class D felony punishable by as much as five years in prison.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges in Taylor District Court on Wednesday, Jan. 23. She was appointed a public defender and bond was set at $5,000 cash.

She is expected to appear in court again Wednesday and was ordered to not have contact with her alleged victims.

Kentucky State Police investigated.
