Voting for the Central Kentucky News-Journal, Commonwealth Broadcasting and KB Photography "Relay Kid" contest will end Friday, Aug. 15 at midnight.
The contest is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life in Taylor, Adair and Green counties.
"Relay Kid" is an online "voting" contest to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The winning child will be featured in an article in the Central Kentucky News-Journal, as well as mentioned on the radio stations affiliated with Commonwealth Broadcasting.
All entry fees and online donations will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event of the contestant's choice. Each child may designate an area Relay team on his or her entry form.
Donations may be made online or by printing off the donation form from the entrant's online voting page at main.acsevents.org/relaykidcontest and delivering it with a check to Cheryl Williams or Tena Weatherford at Taylor County Bank.
The contestant who raises the most money for the American Cancer Society will be designated as the winner.
Donations made by submitting a check and an offline donation form must be received at the American Cancer Society office in person, by mail or other delivery method no later than noon Aug. 12 in order to allow staff time to record the donation online before close of business that day. These offline donations will not be seen in the contestant's total online until they are posted by the American Cancer Society office.
Final winners will be announced on Aug. 25.
