Taylor County Public Library

We are in the business of serving people. Your Taylor County Public Library is open 50 hours a week, six days a week.

We have a bookmobile that travels throughout the county. We have an outreach librarian who reads to almost 600 children a month.

We have public computers available, free Internet access and many valuable software programs. We offer adult programs like movies and craft time.

We offer access to the Kentucky Virtual Library, which accesses libraries and databases around the world. We offer more than 10,000 titles for electronic checkout on your cell phone, computer or e-reader.

Look at what your public library did in 2012:

• The library hosted 735 programs and classes at the library and in the community.

• The library checked out 78,369 items, including books, DVDs, digital books and audio books.

• The section with the most checkouts was adult fiction, followed by juvenile fiction.

• New patrons totaled 2,100 and 12,385 patrons used a computer.

We have had a very busy year and we hope to be even busier in our new building.

Please help us make 2013 the best year yet for the library. Be sure to visit our website, Facebook page or check the Central Kentucky News-Journal for more information about the move and specific dates.

Happy reading in 2013!
