What does the Kingdom of God look like here on earth? What are the laws and behaviors the King expects of his people? Can Christians really live up to the expectations Jesus describes for the disciples in the gospel of Matthew?

Find the answers to these questions and much more by attending the eight-week Precept Upon Precept course titled "Matthew Part 1: The King and the Kingdom of Heaven."

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 24 and continuing through Nov. 19, Carol Freeman will be leading this study of the gospel of Matthew at Living Grace Church, located at 1 Living Grace Drive in Campbellsville.

Choose either the afternoon class, from 1 to 3 p.m., or the evening class, 7 to 9 p.m. The cost of class materials is $20. Register by Thursday, Sept. 17. Contact Freeman at 465-8042 to register or to for more information. Childcare will not be available at either class time.

When finished reading the Old Testament, a sense of expectancy remains. There's a mediator of a new covenant on the horizon. Messiah is coming suddenly to his temple. The kingdom of God will be inaugurated on earth.

Yet the promises are followed by silence. There was no word from God for about 400 years. How important are those first recorded words in Matthew? What is its message? What does God want his people to know? Join the Precept study to find out.
