Foul play not suspected

Campbellsville Police are investigating the death of a Campbellsville woman.

According to a Campbellsville Police news release, officers responded to 103 Layton Drive at 8 a.m. on Tuesday after receiving a report of an unresponsive person.

Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS personnel went to the home and found the female occupant, Donna F. Marples, 48, unresponsive.

Taylor County Coroner Terry Dabney was notified and pronounced Marples dead.

According to the release, no evidence at the scene indicates that Marples’ death was because of foul play.

However, the case remains under investigation pending toxicology results and Dabney’s final determination as to Marples’ cause of death.

Campbellsville Police officers David Tucker and Bart Gilpin are investigating.
