Police investigating Sunday burglaries

Campbellsville Police are investigating burglaries at two local businesses last Sunday.

According to a police news report, officers received a report at about 11:30 a.m. that someone had broken into Fantastic Sam's in Green River Plaza.

The report states that employees discovered on Sunday as they were opening the salon that someone had broken into the business after closing time on Saturday.

Officer Bart Gilpin responded and began an investigation. Items taken from the business include an undetermined amount of cash.

At about 7:10 p.m., police received a report of another burglary, this one at Tangled Up Salon in Central Plaza Shopping Center.

The report states that the owners of the salon found the rear door open and reported it to the police.

Officer Bryan Simpson and Officer Jonathan Leigh responded and began an investigation.

According to the owners, hair salon products were taken during the burglary. The burglars gained entry by forcing open the rear door sometime after the salon closed on Saturday.
