Police investigate burglary

Campbellsville Police investigated a burglary at a home on North Hoskins Avenue in Campbellsville on June 6 and arrested and charged two Campbellsville residents.

Officers Daniel Forbis and Roy Rodgers responded to the address and determined that someone broke into the home and stolen items valued at $1,250.

Evidence collected at the scene led Forbis and Rodgers to a home on West Broadway.

Officers observed the vehicle that was described by witnesses at the scene that allegedly contained the stolen items.

Those arrested at the home on West Broadway were Lucas McCain Edwards of 120 Reynolds Road in Campbellsville and Ashley Benham-Edwards of 352 W. Broadway #4 in Campbellsville.

Both were wanted on active warrants. They were arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and were lodged at the Taylor County Regional Detention Center.

The property reported stolen was recovered. The case remains under investigation.
