Child Letters
I have the best grandparent ever! If I had to choose from my grandma or grandpa, I would choose my grandma. There are three terrific reasons why I would choose my wonderful grandma, and why she should win the Central Kentucky News-Journal award.
My first reason why I think my grandma should win the awesome award is if someone needs help with something, she tries to help them. Like this one time an old lady fell on the ground at Wal-Mart in their parking lot. She was having a heat stroke. So my grandma saw what was going on, and she immediately called the ambulance. I was so glad she was there that day or she could have passed out in the parking lot.
Another reason why I think my grandma should win this award is the best grandma wouldn't buy you a digital camera. It was like I was getting a Christmas present, but it was only a gift for saying "I love you." I am so glad she bought me that present because if I go somewhere like a car show, I can take pictures of my favorite cars, and review them.
So every time I go to my grandma's house, I always ask her "How can I repay you for buying me that wonderful gift?" She always said, "You never have to repay me, but you do have to give me a hug."
The most important reason why I think my grandma should win this award is every time I walk up those steps and through those doors, she always says, "I love you." Now what grandma wouldn't say that? Also my grandma cares about me. She always asks me, "How are your grades doing? And what have you been learning in school? Tell me some of the things you have been learning about."
As you can see from my above examples, my grandma is the kind of person that really cares about not only her family, but everyone else too.

I think that my grandpa should win the paper's "Thankful Award." He is very kind and helpful. I live for my grandpa. I watch over my grandpa as he watches over me. He has love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control just like the fruits of the spirit.
There are three reasons that I think my grandpa should win the Thankful Award. First, my grandpa always lets me buy something such as toys, clothes, school supplies, necessities and he always at least gives me $5 every time he stops by. Once you save it all up, it's hard to count.
Next, my grandpa always lets me join something like softball, soccer, volleyball or basketball, any that they could pay for or my parents would be good with them.
That's why I love them so much!
Most importantly, he is like an explorer. He always goes walking in the woods in the morning or afternoon. Sometimes we would even go on

I'm Most Thankful for my Grandma
There are three reasons why I'm thankful for my grandma.
First, my grandma loves me so much. She had lots of fun with me. One thing she did with me is we rode a boat in a creek that is in her backyard. Me and my grandma watched everything around us from birds to the houses. We were laughing and having conversations.
Next, I never get to see them. Well, because she lives in New York. So every time I see her I barely remember the memories. Me and my grandma took pictures together, on the boat, backyard and inside the house.
Lastly, I love my grandma so much. That's why I'm thankful for her. She always has a smile. She is my hero, my grandma, and she loves me a lot. As you can see by my above examples, my paper should win the Central Kentucky News-Journal contest.

There are three reasons why I am most thankful for my grandmother. The first reason why I am most thankful for my grandmother is that she always makes sure that we visit my family members in Tennessee very often and can go camping there a lot.
The second reason is that she volunteers at Taylor Regional Hospital during the day since she used to work at a church making food for preschoolers.
The last reason that I am most thankful for my grandmother is that she makes the whole family go on little vacations like on houseboats and to uncle Sam's house. She also makes sure I have extra clothes and things I don't need.
As you can see from my above examples, I am most thankful for my grandmother and that I should win the Central Kentucky News-Journal Award.

What I'm Thankful For
There are many reasons why I am thankful for my grandmaml. First, I am thankful for my grandmaml because she always helps people when they have a break down on the side of the street.
Next, whenever my mom or dad are having problems getting to work she will give them a ride to work. Most importantly when my mom works really late she picks me up from whatever after school activity I am in. Sometimes she even picks me up from school.
As you can see from my above examples, when my grandmaml dies, I will be super bupper sad. So please pick my grandmaml to win the Central Kentucky News-Journal contest.

There are three reasons why I'm thankful for my Granny. First, she provides needs for me and she provides school supplies, clothes and shoes to wear on my feet. The second is if anybody is sick she will pray for and with you if you want her to. That my granny used to work at the old factory called froot loom and she worked over their for a long period of time.
Next, that she will not always be there for you a family member will be their or a friend or one of your cuzines will be their, but their for you.
Lastley, most importantly I don't know what I would do without my grandmother. She has helped our community by going to go clean churches and then she gave $1,000 to the people in Iraq to help them get shoes, clothes and etc. to help them survive. And she helps me by buying me clothes, shoes and other things that I need, to help me look pretty. And if you don't win that's OK, but it don't matter because you are the best. That she loves kids and she has home daycare.

What is thankful? Is it when you say thank you? Is it giving thanks? Is it appreciating something? Yes, yes and yes. All of these mean thankful.
What are all of us thankful for or what can you be thankful for? Well, you could be thankful for your parents. They take care of you. They give you food and water. They can give you love and a place to live. You could also be thankful for your friends, family and pets. They all help comfort you.
What am I thankful for? Well, I am thankful for my family and parents. My mom Shelly and my dad Robbie help me get water and food I need. They provide a house and money we all need. They even give me advice and ways to live. I'm also thankful for my other family members such as my loving sister Sydney, my cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. I'm also thankful for my pets Tata, Blackie and Ellie. They are awesome friends and they love to play. Taking care of one is a big responsibility but it is worth it when you see a smile looking up at you.
Friends are also a big thing to be thankful for. My friends are always there when I need them. They always support me in what I do like playing basketball. They are there when you have hard times like making a bad grade or losing something. They're like your sisters and brothers. You share every secret with them.
I am thankful for doctors, lawyers and cashiers. Doctors have great knowledge. They help heal or cure broken bones and diseases. Lawyers speak or represent someone who has a concern. Cashiers allow me and other people to buy goods such as food, water, books and more. I am also thankful for teachers. They help me learn the things I need to know like how to write, read and more. For an example, Mrs. Shari Taylor taught me how to add. I am very thankful for her. I add almost every day of my life.
Say thank you when someone gives something to you. You can be thankful for that. I hope you learned something and have a Happy Thanksgiving! Oh, and be thankful.
Masi Wilson
I'm Thankful for cousins cause they love me. They are funny. They make me laugh. They make me smile. They laugh when I say something funny. We play, sing and sleep. The best part is laughing. We just sit back and have a couple of laughs together.
We go to Miller Park together and it is awesome. We go down slides; we play on the swings and the Marry-go-round. We play hide-and-go-seek. We can spin on the sings and let go then we get dizzy. In the winter, we play in the snow and build snowmen.
My family and I are thankful for food and friends and the holidays because we can be together. I am thankful for family time and watching movies and playing games together. Most of all I am thankful for my family being together and having the things we need most, togetherness, shelter, food and being healthy.
Brandi Richards
I am so thankful for my dad. My dad has had a great impact on my life. I am very blessed to have him as a father. He has inspired me to follow my dreams and never give up no matter what barrier stands in my way. I look up to him and think of him as my role model.
He is a very wise man. We've had many special moments together. He has taught me how to ride my bike, play softball, and be a loving person. If my mom can't, he takes off from work to take care of me or my siblings when we are sick. I've come to know my dad as a loving person. I wish everyone could have a special person in their lives like my dad.
My dad is not only good to me, but he is kind and helpful to other people as well. He has a big heart and always sees the good in other people. He's quick with a kind word or a joke if needed,
He has done so many things for me and my family. I could never repay him for all the things he has done for me. He always gives me advice if I have disagreements with friends or family. He is very happy and funny too. He has a special place in my heart. He helps me with projects and school work when I need it. My dad has taught me about the past and the present. He has told me about famous relatives that lived in our family tree.
He loves my family and me very much. He's such a great father. There's been even more ways my dad has made an impact on my life but these are some of the many great moments I've had with him. My dad is full of love, laughter, happiness, joy, and respect.
All of these qualities and many more are what makes my dad the great man that he is. He is my greatest hero. I have great respect for him and I know that I can count on him no matter what. He is a great role model to me and someone I can trust. I can only explain this as love. This is why my dad is so great to me.
Taylor Thompson
I'm thankful for my Dad. He has been there for me since the day I was
born. He does so many favors for me, such as when I'm irritated with people he
helps me understand and cheers me up and he lets me help him on the farm. It
would be impossible, in any lifetime, to repay him for all the things he has done for me. He taught me how to play basketball, ride a bike, and chop wood with a real axe. He taught me how to do fun things like shoot pool, hunt, and play football. He does so many things for me. He made me the person I am today.
That's why I love him so much. And I just wanted to thank him for everything he has done.
Logan Dial
I am thankful for my "great" aunt who is referred by me as Aunt Helen. She has recently passed away on September 21 but is now in a better place. I am thankful for her because of the impact she has made on my life.
About once every two weeks we had the chance to go visit her. She would have stories piled up to tell us. My parents and I got a kick out of them. A few weeks before her death, she had been put in the hospital. My mom and I went to see her. A couple of days before her passing we knew that she didn't look very good. It really upset me when I saw her because I knew it could be the last time I would see her, and it was.
I woke up that Friday morning and knew something was wrong because my mom was on the phone and it sounded like she was crying. I actually ended up finding out about her passing in the middle of school. That just broke my heart. After everything she had done for me, like giving me toys and candy, when I was a child I hated to see her go. She had really been so special to me and I was really thankful for her.

I want to thank you for having this contest, not that I don't want to win but I can tell all of Campbellsville about the greatest daddy in the world. This contest is a great way for all of us to tell who we are most thankful for and people can share the good that these "great people" in their lives do for them. I for one am ready to share about the good things my dad does for my family
and I.
I will start off with all of his good qualities like he is trustworthy and loving and he cares about my mom and my two older sisters and I. He has never lied to me or and well he is my dad and I trust him. If I didn't trust him what kind of "father-daughter" relationship would that be?
Loving, my dad loves my family and I he's not one to say it much but he shows it and we all know that he loves us. We love him too!
On to the final quality caring, my dad cares a lot about my family and I and I am thankful for that. I am thankful for all three of these great qualities he has. I'm not saying that these three qualities are the only ones he has, because their not but these are his three best qualities that 1 am most thankful for in my dad.
Coming to an end now I just want to say how much I am thankful for my daddy and I love him very much. When my daddy reads this in the paper I hope that he is thankful for me too. Of course I'm sure he will be, it's always that way with a daddy's girl! Thank you CKNJ and I am thankful for the opportunity to get to share why I am thankful for my dad.

Pumpkin pie, turkey, mashed potatoes. All of this is great but I am not nearly as thankful for those as I am Chuck. Chuck has had a great impact on my life.
How great can a step-dad get? I mean of course they'll help you with your homework and watch your ballgames. How many people have a step-dad that will build them a brand new home, by himself, with an occasional help from me? Go ahead and count them.
Secondly, Chuck takes and picks me up from places he really doesn't have to. Like to Wal-Mart to get supplies for my last minute project or pick me up from Sarah's house at three in the morning, because I wanted to come home. Whenever you need him Super Chu-Chu to the rescue!
I absolutely love to cook dinner. Sometimes it isn't exactly great! Even if it has a possible risk of being toxic he eats it and cleans his plate. Who eats every bit of something that they hate? I know the answer my Chucky.
As you can see Chuck means a lot to me and I am truly blessed and thankful to have him in my life. I am very thankful for daddy Chuck. I love him so much sometimes I forget he is my step-dad.
Mollie Williams
Every good memory I have my mom is in it. She has been there through the best and the worst of times for me.
She has always taken care of me when I was sick. My mom fixes a bed for me on the couch, just for me. She would always fix me hot chocolate for colds and it would always make me feel better.
My mom works really hard to take care of my family. There are five of us altogether. My mom, my two brothers, my sister and me. I wash the dishes and
chores so my mom doesn't have to do everything.
Sometimes my mom has to work but she always comes home and cooks the best dinner for us. Sometimes it's a big dinner sometimes not. But we always manage to have dinner together.
My mom helps me with my homework every night that I have it. She tries to do neat things like that. I know that for sure my mom is one of the parents in the world and I love her very much.

Have you ever met your twin in life? Amazingly, I have one person in my life that is my twin. Well, okay, he doesn't look like me on the outside and he's not my brother, but on the inside we have the exact same interests. So I guess you can call us the "wonder twins". My wonder twin is Austin Hash, my best friend.
I'm thankful for him because he has made a big impact on my life and you're about to find out why he's important to me.
First of all, we have tons of fun together. Like we go to the U.K. football games with each other. We spend the night together almost every weekend and we also go to each other's birthdays. The fun never stops! Austin's mom even calls us "Double Trouble."
Another reason I think so much of Austin is he supports me in whatever I do. He comes to my ball games and church plays. When I'm down, he lifts me back up and he's always got my back. For example, I was down about losing a football game to the Colts, but he lifted me right up by telling me that tomorrow is another day and we'll get them next time.
The final reason I'm thankful for my "wonder twin" is he gives me helpful advice. He gives me tips in math to help me solve difficult problems. He helps me with football, and if I'm trying to make a decision he helps me make the right one. He's really easy to talk to because he understands my feelings.
Now you know why my "wonder twin" is one of the most important people in my life. He is supportive; he gives me good advice, and last but not least we have tons of fun together.

I'm thankful for my life and my father, but first I'm going to tell you why I'm
thankful for my dad. I'm thankful for my dad because he is the one and the only
one who wanted me when no one else wasn't there or didn't care for their baby
sister or granddaughter. I act up some of the time but my dad never holds that
against me like other parents do. I know I need to start realizing that I respect my dad more than anyone because when a special person was in my life she didn't take very good care of me. She couldn't afford to pay the bills so our lights and water were cut off but now that she is gone I've never had to worry about it happening again because my dad is there taking care of me. It was hard for us because we didn't have any money and my grandpa had to always loan things to us that we couldn't afford. I barley even got to have baths. Now that has all changed and I'm able to get a bath everyday and wear better clothes, and a caring family.
I am thankful for my life because if it wasn't for I really wouldn't be here
right this minute. I am also thankful for my life because I would have never met my friends that are good to me or my teachers who always helped me reach my goals because I wanted to make my dad proud of me. My life has changed a lot because of my dad. I will continue to struggle until I get it right but I will always respect my dad because he takes care of me and loves me.

What I Am Most Thankful For
I am most thankful for Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. He gave me a wonderful mom and dad and two wonderful little brothers. He has blessed me with a good nanny and pa-paw. I am thankful for my many cousins and all my great friends.
I am thankful for water, food, shelter, and clothing Jesus has provided for me. He has given me a bed, a house and lots of good things. He is a good God. He has given me my dogs and my cats.
He has given us electricity, money, and air to breathe. He has given us vans, cars, trucks, boats, air planes, hellicopters, so we can use them as transportation. He has given us the time and opportunity to receive a good education and get good jobs. He has given us wonderful churches and wonderful people who attend them. He has given us every lasting life. We can communicate with God through prayer. God has given me so many wonderful things it's hard to choose what I am most thankful for.
Alex Whitaker
I'M THANKFUL
I am thankful for a bed, cloths, houses and everything else. For a rich country, liberty, and freedom for all. I'm thankful for God, Jesus and the Bible. Be thankful for what you have a home or food.
Some people are rich and some poor. Every time you think about how much we have, think of most other people who are less fortunate. Do you think about those people that have gone hungry for days, life on the street and don't now Jesus?
Don't go on with your life just not seeing anything but Wendy's, Dairy Queen and all the other restaurants. People in the different countries usually have to eat worms. Are you grateful for what you have? Most poor kids have ragged cloths, need shoes and medicine. Think how they feel when drouts, mud slides, and hurricanes come. Hope you'll see all the things other countries don't have and appreciate our country, America.
It's wealth and beauty of such a country like this is wonderful. Try to remember to be thankful and greatful.

What I'm Thankfal For
I can't really tell you what I'm thankful for. Well 1 could, however this paper would probably never end. Have you ever asked somebody what they're thankful for? I asked my sister what she was thankful for and she said family, friends, food, and a home: the same thing anybody else would say. But what I'm thankful for are the little things people say they could live without. Like light bulbs for light when it's dark outside, doors for privacy, sunglasses to block out the sun, and pencils or I couldn't have written this paper. I could go on for hours like I sometimes do.
Have you ever heard the words "This is all I get?" or "I like hers better?" Well I have and I've even said them myself once or twice. I'm so unthankful for the things I don't have that sometime forget about the things I do have that some other people don't. So the thing I'm most thankful for is, everything and everyone.
Aryn Massengale
When I think of a good friend, I think of my BEST friend. Her name is Monica!
I have many reasons why I am thankful for Monica.
Now what I'm going to say is, my friend is the best friend in the world to me. She helps me when I need help, she is kind, and she loves her friends.
The next thing is, she encourages me. She encourages me when I do my homework. She came to encourage me in cheerieading. She encourages me when I have bad feelings.
Next, we have fun together. We have sleepovers, we make each other laugh, and we go to school together. I am thankful for Monica because she is my best friend, she encourages me, and we have lots of fun together.
I think I picked the best one out there. Monica and I made a deal about our friendship. We promised each other we would never fight and we would be BEST FRIENDS FOREVER! If I need help on my homework, Monica is willing to come over to my house and help me. We even made a song called "I don't care."
I have known Monica for eight and a half years. We've been BEST FRIENDS since we met. I love her very very much! She is the best friend that I have ever had and will always need. We love each other very much. We play with each other at the park, at my house, and at her house.
In closing all of these things are how she is my best friend.

My Life
There are many things to be thankful for. Such as food on the table, family, friends. But the one thing I am most thankful for is my life. With this life I get to have a family and friend. I'm able to wake up every morning to a new day, and see my brothers and sisters, mom and dad. Some people might say go get a life. But the thing is you can't just go to a store and get a new life every time you make a mistake. What makes life so special is that our one and only God were nice enough to grant you a life.
With this life you may do amazing or you might be some one only a few people know. No matter how you spend your life you should be thankful for it.

My Thankful Life
I am thankful for my loving parents, my great friends, and all the animals.
I am thankful for the beautiful trees and green grass because they give us air.
I am thankful for my amazing life and I am thankful for all I have.
I am thankful for the bright sun and the cool rain because it gives us food.
I am thankful for this opportunity to right this essay and for my fun home-school group.
I am thankful for my mind-blowing, marvelous dad because he takes me hunting.
I am so thankful for school because it helps educate me.
But I am mostly thankful for God.
Reese Pearson
I am thankful for many things but I am only going to tell you about one. I am most thankful for my parents. They have done so much for me. When homework gets hard my parents are always there to say that I can do it. It's kind of funny how a problem that seems so big becomes small through someone else's point of view.
One time my mom picked me up from school after a bad day. I didn't get in trouble or anything but nothing went right. I was frustrated and I just started talking about my day. My mom just kept driving. The next thing I knew we were in E-town. We ended up at Starbucks and had hot chocolates. Yeah my mom could have made hot chocolate at home but it wouldn't have been as special. Needless to say my bad day went away.
My dad like most dads' still plays sports himself. He is on two tennis teams in Lexington. He brings home trophies all the time. He still makes time to coach my teams. We also play basketball in our driveway. It's nice to have parents who put you before everything else. These and many other things are why I am thankful for my parents.

Hi! My name is Kit Williams. The things I am thankful for are my family, the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and God. I probably couldn't live without any of them.
I am thankful for my family because they always help me get back on my feet. For example, when I entered the Four-H talent show, they helped me practice. Even when I felt like quitting, they kept on pushing me.
I'm thankful for the troops because they fight so bravely every day. They deserve to come home. They have to leave their jobs, families, and lives, and yet they'd all lay down their lives for you and me.
Last, but definitely not least, I am thankful for God. It feels so good at night when I can kneel by my bed and just pour my heart out and know that He won't judge me. God gives me so many opportunities in life. I love him more than anything on this Earth and I will never deny it.
All of the things I listed above, I gladly give up my life for. So thank you God for everything you've given me, thank you Mom and Dad for loving me, and thank you troop, for protecting me.
Kit Williams
I am thankful for my freedom and to be able to live in a free country. I am able to wake up each morning, go to school, and be myself. There's no one telling me what I can or can't do. [Except my parents]
I'm thankful to have the constitution which tells us all of our rights and responsibilities. I am also thankful for the troops who are giving up their lives for you and me. They make all of this possible.
I'm thankful for the president and all of the government officials who contribute every day of their lives to try and keep this country free. I'm thankful to be free every day of my life I am.

I am a hard-working golfer with high expectations and perseverance. I marvel at the beautiful waterways and lush fragrant flowers during the practice round at Augusta National. I listen to the clicking of the cameras and chattering of the eager media taking interviews of my talented opponents. I scan the lay of the land and breaks of the greens. I desire to start the match because my eager nerves kept me awake during the night. I am a hard-working golfer with high expectations and perseverance.
I am a hard-working golfer with high expectations and perseverance. I imagine I am all alone and my mind is controlling the ball. I sense the eyes of my family and the rest of the world watching as I make my first drive on tee #1. I grasp the grip of my 8 iron as I hit my second shot on the green and near the flag. I fear I will miss my birdie putt for the lead as I advance through the course. I cry with happiness as I sink my birdie putt and take the lead in the dramatic final round of the 2021 masters. I am a hard-working golfer with high expectations and perseverance.
I am a hard-working golfer with high expectations and perseverance. I appreciate my life long invitation to the masters after I have won the 2021 masters. I express my gratitude to my caddy, coach, and dad. I envision myself being as legendary as Arnold Palmer. Tiger Woods, and Jack Nicholas. I strive to play with more famous players and learn better playing techniques.
I anticipate the awards ceremony when I will be awarded the famous green jacket. I am a hard-working golfer with high expectations and perseverance.

Thankful For My Doctors
What am I thankful for? The answer to that question would be my doctors.
They have made such a big impact on my life. They have preformed about 50 surgeries on me for the past eleven years. There are Three Doctors that I trust the most. I would mostly agree on the things they want to perform.
My Main doctor is a plastic surgeon. His name is Dr. Charikar he has preformed around 9/10 surgeries that I have had. He is really nice; he also knows what he is doing. When I see him in his office he always puts a 100% into his job.
My ENT Doctor is named Dr. Goldman. She's is really nice too. She comes along when something goes wrong with my trachea. Once I had a surgery where I almost died and luckily Dr Goldman saved the day. Dr Goldman puts a 100% into her job.
My Favorite, Best friend in the whole wide world would certainly be my nurse Bill. He is so nice, funny, and very smart. I am always very excited whenever I travel to Louisville I always ask my mom if we can go and see him. At Christmas he sends me a card. When I have surgery he sometimes gets me a little stuffed animal for me. I know that Bill is always nice to others including me.
I am thankful for many other things but my doctors are important to me. They have improved me, made me strong, brave and tough over the years. My doctors have helped me build up my strength and confidence. I will never ever forget them.

My Grandparents
My grandparents, Don and June Bishop, are very important in my life. No one could ever replace them. My grandparents have supported me in many of my games from sport to sport and every other activity in which I am involved. They have only missed a few but I really don't mind since they have two other grandchildren besides my sister to watch.
One thing my grandparents have always been is great Christians. They set a good example for me because of the way they treat and care about other people. They are Sunday school teachers, and have served others in our community for many years.
My Grandmom has inspired me to follow my dreams and succeed in life. When my mom and dad are busy doing something, just say the word! For example, every Monday my Grandmom takes and picks me up from piano, and we go to her house. She fixes me up a healthy snack, and cooks a scrumptious and delicious supper! What a crazy Monday!
Grandmom's cooking is the best on this earth! My favorite things that she cooks is brown rice, chicken, corn casserole and her rolls! One time l ate six rolls! Everyone started to laugh.
Grandmom always helps me with homework if needed. She has always listened to me and guided me on the right path. She always comforts me when I need it most. My Granddad is a busy-body right there with my Grandmom! He likes to coach my sister in golf, and is teaching me to play tennis. He collects antiques. I love to go to their house and look at all of the collections. My Granddad always has time to listen about a day at school.
My Granddad has always, to me, been the wise one of our family. He loves to read and so do I. He is a diabetic so he can't have any sugar but maybe sometimes. I love him! When I was little I had a Thomas the Tank Engine movie and they sang, "Gone Fishin'" but I always thought there were singing, "Don Bishop!" My mom said that I would sing and perform the Don Bishop tune. Until this day I still believe it was "Don Bishop!"
My Granddad is 73 and I never will forget the special memories that we have.
When I walk in my grandparent's house, I smell the smell that will always remind me of their house. It will be in my heart forever. I will never forget how much time I have gotten to spend with them and all of the love and support they have given me.
They are truly special people ... special grandparents.

I am thankful for my dad. Me and my dad like the same things like fishing, rock
collecting and more. The thing I really want to tell you about is what he does for me.
One thing he does for me is take care of me. He takes me places. He takes me to yard sales and auctions. He buys me things, but most of all, he just takes care of me.
The next thing I want to talk to you about is how good of a role model he is. He shows me how to do things. If he tells me to come I will. He makes me laugh and he does things right. He teaches me to do things. He teaches me how to build things. He shows me how to walk down the holler. He taught me how to put a worm on a hook. He shows me how to fix things.

First of all, she loves me. She helps me with my homework. She makes me laugh. She takes care of me when I get sick. When we need each other then we will get each other. I love her so much that I always give her a big bear hug. We both give each other one all the time.
Second of all, she has fun with me. We smake when she wants to play. My mom takes me places. We play with the bunnies and the dog. We have fun by playing together when we feel great and perky. We like to talk and do things together when we have a chance. When we need help doing things and if I need help she will help me.
Third of all, she tells me that I do good. She keeps me happy when I am feeling sad or if I am mad. She helps me do things that some people do not do when they need to be done so do things that helps our community. She tells me I look so pretty when I think I look so ugly. She says "Honey no you don't you look so pretty."

I am thankful for my mom because she loves me. When she does something nice for me I do something nice for her too.
One thing she did was when we went out to the animal shelter to just look at the dogs. The man that works there told us that he forgot about a little poodle he just got in. We liked it so my mom bought it for me and I was crying because I was excited to have a dog. It's name is Teddy. She is so loveable and she is like a little watch dog when somebody comes to my house or when my brother comes in.

It is almost Thanksgiving and I am not thinking of food. I am thinking of my Grandmother. She has done so many things for me and without her I would not be as happy as I am.
One reason that I love her so much is because she bought me some of the most prettiest clothes. They were the best clothes ever! One day she bought me this beautiful black dress with roses and lilacs on it. One she bought be some pajamas. They did not look that good, but once you got in them it was like drifting on the softest cloud. Another time she got me a purpule sweater. It was a pretty lavender color.
I also love her because of her love. She will love me no matter what I do. She said that to me one time. I will never forget those words. She used to hold me in her arms when I was little and rock her chair until I would fall asleep. It always worked. I really think we have said I love you about a million times to each other.
Once we went to her house in New York one day for Thanksgiving. Her whole house smelled so good! There was turkey that you lips water. Mashed potatoes that were really buttery. You could also put on some gravy. There was also corn and some other stuff. I can not believe she had made all this stuff while she was in a walker! I dug into the food and ate like there was no tomorrow! Everybody looked at me and gave me weird faces. My face looked like it was saying...what? But then everybody just started to eat.
Grandma Doerr gave me some of the prettiest presents. She gave me a beautiful necklace one day. It was made with silver and a little diamond in the middle. The in the little diamond I saw my birthstone. I put it on right away. My mom said it looked great on me. Grandma Doerr did too. I almost never took it off. When I did take it off I put it under my pillow or in my jewelry box. I loved it!
Grandma Doerr is very special to me. I think she is nice. She is very, very special and I really love her.
Gabby Doerr
I am writing about my mom. I am writing about why she is a special person. My mom is special in all kinds of ways. She supports me, she is caring, and she loves me. She is a very special mom.
I am thankful for my mom because she is always there for me. She is always there when I am sick. She is always there when I had surgeries on my eyes. She is always there for me when I am hurt. She is there for me when I'm scared. She is the best ever!
Another reason my mom is special is because she is caring. My mom is caring because she buys things for me, she takes me places, and she helps me with my homework. She is also caring because she buys me things.
My mom is special because she supports me. She supports me by working to get money to buy us food and clothes. She supports me by getting money to keep a house and pay the bills so we could have electric and water. She supports us by making money to buy a vehicle to get back and forth to work and other places like the doctor's office.
My mom is special because she is caring, she is always there for me, and she supports me. I love her bunches and bunches. My mom is a very special mom. I am very thankful for her.

I am getting ready for Thanksgiving to spend with my family. I am starting to think about who I am thankful for. I am thankful for my mom because if it wasn't for her I might not be here. Having a great mom is wonderful. I enjoy playing games with her. She also has a great sense of humor. I love her very much, however she can be strict when she wants to be.
I am also thankful for my dog Snuf. He is my best friend. I play with him almost every day. He sits on the front porch and waits for me to come home and play. I got him from a really nice man. He was tall with white hair and a hat.
I am also really thankful for God. If he had not been so kind and generous to us, we would not be here at all.
I am thankful for my puppy. She is a Chihuahua. She is really cute, small, and sweet. Her name is Boger. She was a present for my mom for her birthday. She will only grow to be maybe eight inches tall. She is very hyper and she barks a lot at night is she wants someone to play with her or pet her.
I am also thankful for my family. Without them I would be nothing. I am the one in the middle with four other kids on the family of eight. It is hard for us in our four bedroom house with five beds. I have to share a bed with my sisters, Shania and Mariah. Sometimes my brother Dirt and my brother D.J. is in the room next to me.
I am thankful for all these things in my life. That is why I like Thanksgiving day. We all come together and have fun and play. I am so thankful for Thanksgiving. It is a great time to spend with my family and my pets.

Have you ever had someone or something really special in your life? Well I have and her name is Hannah Moosmann! She is my older sister. Right now she is sixteen going on seventeen! I have two other sisters and one brother. I love them all, but they all do not understand me like Hannah does.
I am thankful for Hannah because she has always been there for me. Also, sometimes we would get stuck on things, sometimes they would be the same problems. We would try to work it out with each other. Me and Hannah both do dance. We help each other with our dance moves and our dance a lot! It's really great having someone who cares about you. And that is there for you all the time.
Hannah is one of the best sisters in the whole wide world. When one of us are sad or mad, we usually try to work it out together. She usually has guy trouble and I would try to make her feel better.
Ever since I was little, me and Hannah have been loving each other like I don't know. Another thankful thing for her is that she is a very loving, caring person and I love that about her. She is a really nice person. She is really cool too and she is a really good listener to people when they are talking to her about things.
Another thankful thing about Hannah is that she is not mean all the time, just a little bit! Hannah's last name is Moosmann. She is really, really pretty. But she is a really sensitive person about things. If you ask me, Hannah is the best sister in the whole world.

Thanksgiving is getting close and it has made me think of one very special person, my mom. I am writing about her because she is always there for me. She is caring for me and she is also loving and helpful.
My mom is always there for me. Al I have to do is yell, "Mom", and she's right there, saying, "What do you need?" I can talk to her about everything. Because she is my mom.
My mom is a lot of things, but she is mostly caring. She cares for me, my two sisters, and my brother. She fixes my hair in the morning and buys me clothes. On weekends she fixes my favorite breakfast: French toast.
My mom is also very loving. She love me lots and lots. She says she loves me to the moon and back. That's pretty far away. I can't say away from my mom more than three days. Not unless I have to. She will do most anything to please me, my two sisters, my brother, my cousins, and my step-dad.
My mom is also very helpful; she helps me clean my room. She helps me do my homework. She also helps me study. Sometimes she helps me pick out my clothes. She helps me do everything. When it's stormy outside, she will come in my room and lay with me 'till I go to sleep.
My mom lets me do a lot of things like stay up late on weekends and watch T.V. She lets me play with my cousins. She lets me stay outside a lot in the summer. She lets me ride in the go-cart. She lets me play in the pool.
I'm thankful for my mom. I hope she never leaves, but if she does, I hope she goes to Heaven where I can see her smiling, beautiful face again and be a big, happy family again. I love my mom lots and lots and I tell her that everyday and mom tells me she loves me everyday too.

I am writing to tell you who I am thankful for and why, but the person I am thankful for is my mom. She is nice, caring, very helpful, but the main thing is she is nice.
She is nice to me because she plays with me. She also plays games with me and sometimes jump with me and my brothers on the trampoline or watches us too.
She is also encouraging. She encouraged me to be a vet, play sports like baseball and basketball. She says I can do anything if I put my mind to it.
She is also very helpful. The first thing she helped me with was when I was a baby. She helped me walk. We tried and tried and then I finally got the hang of it. She is also help me with my homework rided I bike.
That is how I am thankful for my mom and why. So if you see my mom, say to your buddy or yourself that she is nice to her son Caden Wheatley.
Caden Wheatley
I admire this one person. She is smart and funny. Her name is Becky, my mom. She is very extra nice. She loves me and my family. She is cool.
First I would love to say a few things about her. This will give you the main idea and supporting details. To explain things, she cares, cooks, she listens, she loves to talk and she especially loves me.
Second of all, she encourages me, she encourages me to do my best, she expects me to get good grades, she expects to hear wonderful news from my teachers.
Third of all, she supports me, she helps me, she does everything she can to keep me and my family safe, she does everything she can to help people, she is a great mother and you should get to know her, as a friend.
Fourth of all, she helps me, she helps me with projects, she helps me with homework, she would help me with anything I need help with, and she's always there.
Finally, I want to tell you the rest of my thankful piece, well she does love me and I want to tell you why and how she loves me. One reason why she loves me so much is because I am her daughter. One reason how she loves me is she cares about me. I could cry so hard then start to laugh. She makes me feel happy it's almost like I'm thankful for someone different and it's like I could tell only my mom my feelings. I'm going to cry, I'm so excited.
Last, I would love to tell you a little bit more advice about how much I am thankful for my mom she cares, she encourages, she supports me, and she helps me. I love her so very much. Thank you, Editor.

There are many special people in my life I am thankful for. However, there is one person who I am truly thankful, my mom. Her name is Kathy. She is a very hard working mother, teacher, and friend to many people. Here are some reasons why I'm thankful for her.
First of all, she is great at taking care of me. She helps me with my homework. She assists me with me by quizzing me on my vocabulary and spelling words. She listens to my reading and answers to my math questions. She helps me pick out clothes that are right for me. She also takes care of me when I'm sick. She takes me to the doctor and gives me my medicine. She stays with me until I feel better. The are ways Mom takes care of me.
Another reason why I'm thankful for her is that she is encouraging. When my soccer team loses a game, she tells me that we'll do better next time. Her words, "I'm so proud of you", make me happy. She also gives me good advice. When I am having trouble with my friends, she gives me ways how we can work it out. This is why my mom is encouraging to me.
Finally, the last reason why I am thankful for my mom is that she loves me. When she comes home from work, she says, "Hello", and gives me a hug. She says, "I love you". At night, Mom and I cuddle up together and watch T.V. Our favorite shows are Platinum Weddings Bridezillas, and Dancing With the Stars. It feels so good to be with my mom and know that she loves me.
I am thankful for my mom because she takes care of me, she is encouraging, and she loves me. I love my mom very much.

There are not a lot of kids that consider their dad a friend. Well I do. I have always considered my dad a friend.
First of all, he takes care of me. I know a lot of dads can't cook, but my dad cooks us some delicious meals once in a while. He even gets up at 5:30 in the morning to get me in shape and keep me healthy. When I am feeling down and crying, or sad, he picks me back up.
Next, he loves me with all his heart. Always, when I have a bad day, or game, he says that I could do better that what I did. Plus when I', afraid he calms me down or protects me. Nevertheless, when I'm hurt he immediately says that everything is going to be alright then checks to see what is wrong.
Lastly he supports me. When I'm getting ready to play a football game or start a test, he tells me to do my best and push myself.
I am thankful for my dad because he takes care of me, he loves me with all his heart, and he supports me too. But the most important thing is that I love him even more than he loves me.

I would like to explain about Mrs. Agathen. She taught us about Kentucky and the six different regions. Here are the regions: Bluegrass, Pennyroyal, Jackson Purchase, Western coal field, The Knobs. Those are the six different regions of Kentucky. We are also in the heart of Kentucky.
Mrs. Agathen is the best teacher I've ever had.

After I found out the newspaper company was doing a writing contest, I decided to enter it and started thing about who I would do about it. After I thought about it, I could think of many people. But my final choice was Mrs. Russell, my third grade teacher. I want to share the reasons I chose her, and how she changed my life.
The first reason she is my special person is she was always...fun. Of course, she always teached, but she did it in a fun way. She let us do activities, projects, and competitive things, such as rocket math. That helped me work together and work hard.
The second reason is because she is encouraging. When I gave up, Mrs. Russell always told me to try again. One BIG example is AR points. When I thought I couldn't get six hundred points, she would encourage me. Because of all that, I finially got the points.
Another reason is because she is always hard-working. (As a teacher) She would teach us everyday, whatever it takes. Also, even though she had to get a substitute teacher every few months, she would try to get a good sub. for us. Also, even if we couldn't do something, she would try to get us to do that thing.
So now, you know that Mrs. Russell is a fun, encouraging, and hard-working teacher. I think since you know a lot about her now, I think you might know why sh
