One injured after crashing into telephone poll

A Campbellsville woman was injured Saturday after she crashed her vehicle into a telephone poll.

According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Ethel Jean Greene, 71, of 398 W. Blue Hole Road, was traveling north on Old Columbia Road at 3:52 p.m. in a 2005 Buick Lacrosse when she left the roadway and struck a telephone poll. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest upside down.

Taylor County Fire & Rescue personnel removed Greene from the vehicle and transported her to Taylor Regional Hospital. She was treated and released.

The report states that a medical condition could have contributed to the crash.

Campbellsville Police also responded.

Taylor County Sheriff's deputies Ricky Underwood and Dickie Benningfield investigated.
