One in five of Kentucky's children might go to bed hungry tonight, according to a report by hunger-relief charity Feeding America.
Kentucky ranks 28th in child food insecurity, with 22.4 percent of the state's children determined to be facing hunger, and 17th in household food insecurity, with 17.2 percent facing hunger, according to Feeding America.
The report based its findings on income categories and an estimate of the food budget shortfall that food insecure people report they experience.
