One dead, two injured in crash

Police report says alcohol believed to be a factor

A Taylor County man is dead and two others injured after a one-vehicle crash.

According to a report from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, Sean A. Wilkerson, 20, of Dearen Farm Road in Campbellsville, was driving a 1993 Ford Ranger pickup on KY 70 near Mannsville on Thursday at 7:13 p.m. Wilkerson turned left onto Raikes Hill Road, according to the report, and lost control of the vehicle and it left the road. The vehicle overturned, and Wilkerson was pronounced dead at the scene by Taylor County Coroner Terry Dabney.

Two passengers in the vehicle, Nathan Cox, 20, and Dylan Porter, 19, were transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS, according to the report. No information was available on the condition of Cox or Porter as of press time.

Alcohol was a contributing factor to the accident, according to the report, and no seatbelts were in use.
Taylor County Sheriff’s Deputy Tim Coppage is investigating the crash, and Taylor County Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department and Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS also assisted at the scene.
