New senior residents' home opens

Residents who are 55 and older, physically disabled and have limited incomes now have a new housing option in Campbellsville, thanks to two programs that provide funds for affordable housing construction.

The 11-unit Poplar Grove Senior Apartment complex, developed by D.L. & Associates Inc. and constructed by Da-Ranco Inc., is located at 201 & 203 Smith St.

The units were built using funds from the Kentucky Housing Corp., specifically the Small Multi-Family Affordable Loan Program and HOME Investment Partnership Program.

A ribbon cutting was hosted Dec. 4.
