There is a new face in the Central Kentucky News-Journal office.
Leslie Moore, a Taylor County native and recent graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, joined the staff last week as our newest staff writer.
As part of her duties, Moore will be covering activities in some of our local schools, as well as city government and other beats. She will also be working on feature stories about you, the people of Taylor County.
Moore comes to the News-Journal and fills a spot vacated by James Roberts, who remains on medical leave as he battles leukemia. He remains a close friend to the staff members here and will always be a member of the CKNJ family. As he continues this fight, we ask that you join us as we pray for him and his family through this difficult time.
Covering the news in Taylor County is important to us and we want to serve you in every way with information about your community. While we are aware of many activities in the county, we also ask that you provide us with information about events taking place that we might not know about. People often assume we know about every event in town, but without the tips we receive from readers, we would undoubtedly miss many important activities.
If you have an event that might be interesting to our readers, please let us know about it. Also, if your club or civic group has an activity, feel free to provide us with information about it before the event. After an event is completed, we also welcome details of what took place, along with photos.
Submit event information to Staff Writer Calen McKinney at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 465-8111 Ext. 235.
We often say this is not our newspaper, but yours. For that reason, we want to see you be as active as you would like in helping us tell the stories of Taylor County and its residents.
