Messengers appoint new board members

The Kentucky Baptist Convention's Committee on Nominations recently announced its nominations for members of the Kentucky Baptist Convention Mission Board and the boards of several affiliated institutions and agencies.

The nominations were approved by messengers of the Kentucky Baptist Convention, who convened their annual meeting Nov. 13-14 at Severns Valley Baptist Church.

Local Board appointments are as follows:

Campbellsville University Trustees - John Russell Ball of Lancaster, Ivan Bennett of Russell Springs, Kenny Bennett of Campbellsville, Anna Mary Byrdwell of Louisville, Lawrence Hall of Elizabethtown, Bruce E. Heilman of Richmond, Va., Leslie D. Hollon of Louisville, Mildred Newton of Murray, Paul Osborne of Campbellsville, Joseph L. Owens of Lexington and Mike Pope of Somerset.

George Phillips of Campbellsville was also named to the KCC Mission Board, representing Region 7 through the 2010 term.
