Merry Christmas!

-A A +A
By James Roberts

Christmas came early for Taylor County Elementary students. On Wednesday, the school celebrated the last day of classes before Christmas break with an encore performance from the fourth- and fifth-grade choir.

The choir had performed its program, "Holiday Memories" for the first time earlier in the week.

In addition to Christmas standards such as "Sleigh Ride," "Winter Wonderland," "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" and "Twelve Days of Christmas," choir members shared some of their favorite Christmas memories.

Fifth grader Haley Wright recalled her favorite gift - a baby sister, Taylor Thompson told students about sleigh riding and Meredith Johnson talked about a 6-foot-long cat she got.

This is the first year the school has had a choir. Brooke Gupton directs the 63-member group.
