He was raised in a loving, Christian home. And although there were relatives on both sides of his family who struggled with alcohol addiction, his parents didn't.
Shannon Gray admits he alone is to blame for his decision to start drinking at age 16.
"I loved girls, but they wouldn't give me the time of day," Gray said.
He had lost about 130 pounds, but still had no confidence. Before he started drinking, Gray said he remembers how getting turned down for a dance would put an end to his good time.
