A female tourist from Houston, Texas had lost a lot of blood. She had fallen earlier and had been taking ibuprofen for the pain. However, the pain reliever caused an ulcer to flare up and begin to bleed.

Dr. Eugene Shively and Taylor Regional Hospital emergency room nurse Angie Johnson, two of four Taylor Countians on the mission group who just arrived on the island, rushed to the hospital.
