McDonald’s offers MAC grants to support hands-on education

-A A +A

For the ninth consecutive year, Kentuckiana middle school teachers will have the opportunity to “Make Activities Count” in the classroom through McDonald’s MAC Grant program, which rewards teachers for innovation and creativity in the classroom by providing funding for hands-on classroom activities.
The MAC Grant program provides up to $500 to inspired middle school teachers interested in creating meaningful and interactive educational projects for sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Because McDonald’s is soliciting applications from local teachers, project ideas are endless and teachers are encouraged to be imaginative.
Any teacher of sixth, seventh or eighth grade who is interested in applying for the 2011 MAC Grant program can download the application at www.mcstate.com by clicking on their state and visiting the homepage of the nearest restaurant.
All activities must take place on school property and applications must be postmarked by Sept. 30.
For more information about this program, contact Holly Weyler at (502) 589-7711 or hweyler@bch.com.
