Campbellsville High’s Eagles led 5-3 early on a Hayden Neal free throw and two baskets by Damontez Smith, but Marion County dominated the rest of the half en route to a 63-43 domination of the Eagles in the first round of the 20th District Tournament on Tuesday night at Taylor County.
The Knights used steady senior point guard John Southall’s 13 first-half points to build a 31-10 half-time cushion.
Reserves Bobby Jaglowicz and Clay Lanham added 12 and nine points, respectively, for coach Montrelle Irvin’s top-seed squad.
