A Mannsville man has been arrested and charged with having a concealed deadly weapon.

According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, deputies responded on Sunday to a call of an individual inside a church with a handgun.

The report states that deputies found Michael Gribbin, 33, outside the church parking lot when they arrived. Gribbin told deputies that he had a gun in his pocket.

Church members told deputies, according to the report, that Gribbin hadn't threatened anyone and the gun was seen next to him in a pew.

Gribbin was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, having a controlled substance prescription not in its original container and public intoxication. He was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.

Campbellsville and Kentucky State Police also responded.

Taylor County Sheriff's Deputy Dickie Benningfield investigated.
