Man pleads guilty to sex abuse charge

A Campbellsville man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl and may spend time in prison.

Robert Elzie Followell, 39, of 3825 Raikes Hill Road appeared before Taylor Circuit Court Judge Allan Bertram on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

Followell pleaded guilty to first-degree sex abuse. A first-degree persistent felony offender charge was dismissed.

According to court records, Followell was accused of grabbing and attempting to kiss a 14-year-old girl.
